Paradise RV Resort Veterans are choosing to fight hunger!

Paradise RV Resort VeteransThe group, a fairly new one in the Sun Cities area, sponsored a spaghetti dinner in honor of all veterans. More than 350 people attended a fun-filled night and were entertained by a local group, “The Encores,” who practice at the resort three days a week. They also raised $1000 for a worthy cause.

The decision was made by two of the veterans, Myron Lindahl and Art Feyereisen, to donate the money to help feed others less fortunate, many of whom are also veterans.
They had heard St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance’s Pat Felhaber speak at a church gathering a few days before and realizing the integrity of the organization, the immediate need and the tremendous amount of meals that could be provided with their donation, the decision was made.

A check for $1000 was presented to St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance by long-time volunteer Jim Vollmer. Great group. Great night. Great cause. And a big thank you to Paradise RV Veterans!

  1. Good job. Great to raise money for a good cause and still have fun doing it.
