The Cardinals fell just shy of the big game this year, but the Streets of New York restaurants are still looking forward to a big end of the football season.
All Valley SYN locations are again teaming with St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance for a super deal that gives football fans a discount and allows them to help feed the hungry of our state. From now until Feb. 14, any guest donating three (3) non-perishable food items to St. Mary’s will receive 20 percent off their total bill (excluding tax and alcohol).
In addition, SYN will make a monetary donation for every can donated to the Food Bank which could provide enough food for an additional 14,000 meals. Each dollar donated allows St. Mary’s to provide seven meals for the community, so each public donation can have a far-reaching effect on those struggling with this issue of hunger.
With unemployment, underemployment and homelessness skyrocketing in Arizona, St. Mary’s Food Bank has seen demand nearly double over the last two years. Both cash and food donations are desperately need to keep pace with the increasing need.
“Without community support, St. Mary’s would never be able to distribute enough food to provide 300,000 meals on a daily basis,” said Terry Shannon, the Food Bank’s president and CEO. “Wonderful partners like Streets of New York recognize the tremendous need right now. We are pleased they have chosen the Food Bank as a way to give back to those in Arizona who are dealing with hunger daily.”
