GET YOUR DUCKS IN A ROW AND HELP ST. MARYS AT THE LUCKY DUCKY DERBY on APRIL 24

How can you get a quack – er, crack – at $10,000 and help feed hunger child of Arizona at the same time. Adopt two ducks from Fry’s Food Stores at the 2010 Edition of the Leslie’s Lucky Duck Derby Race.

Simply log on at www.duckrace.com/frys for the easy directions on how to Adopt a Duck (you can adopt two ducks for just $10!)

Then on Saturday, April 24th at the Scottsdale Waterfront Canal, all the ducks will be dumped into the water at 1:30 p.m. and they’ll paddle their way to the finish to make someone $10,000 richer. Other prizes include a $500 and $250 U.S. Savings Bond.

All donations make through http://www.duckrace.com/frys will benefit the St. Mary’s Kids Cafe, a program that distributes nearly 2,000 meals daily to children at risk of hunger through after school programs and make sure kids who take part in the school lunch program get another meal source at the end of the day. Plans are to increase the program to 10,000 meals in the near future and to introduce hot meals for the first time in the program’s history.
