BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA ARE SCOUTING FOR FOOD … IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD

The annual “Scouting for Food” drive is right around the corner – and right up your block! This year, the Grand Canyon Council’s goal is to raise over 300,000 pounds of food to benefit local food banks, a portion of which will be donated to St. Mary’s. On Saturday, February 5th, the Scouts will do the leg work, going throughout the Valley, collecting non-perishable goods.

If you see a door hanger on your home with the Boy Scout logo that means your home is on the pickup route. Just leave your non-perishable food donations – out on their doorsteps in the provided bags by 7 a.m., and they will do the rest. No glass containers or open packages, please. St. Mary’s will be stationed at the Bashas in Surprise at 15367 W Waddell Rd. if you still wish to help out the cause. Help the Scouts and St. Mary’s reach their goal and help battle hunger.
