ST. MARY’S WELCOMES CONGRESSMAN BEN QUAYLE FOR A GUIDED TOUR OF THE FOOD BANK

St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance opened its doors to a special visitor on Feb. 2: Arizona’s 3rd congressional district representative Ben Quayle. The Republican came to St. Mary’s for a tour of the facilities and to see first-hand how the world’s first food bank really works.

Along with representatives of St. Mary’s and the Association of Arizona Food Banks, Rep. Quayle ventured through the Del E. Webb Center, where all of the donated food is organized, stored, and distributed, as well as the University of Phoenix Center, which holds the Agency Distribution, Community Kitchen, and Kid’s Cafe® programs.

St. Mary’s would like to graciously thank Rep. Quayle, the son of former Vice President Dan Quayle, for his interest in the food bank, as well as for taking time out of his busy schedule to come visit.
