JEFF GORDON’S “DRIVE TO END HUNGER” CAR FINDS VICTORY LANE AT PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY

Three days after his car visited St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance – and the “Drive to End Hunger” make a $10,000 donation to benefit Arizona’s hungry –  former NASCAR champion Jeff Gordon visited Victory Lane after a long absence.

Gordon snapped a 66-race drought and won the Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix International Raceway on Sunday. With this victory, Gordon ties NASCAR legend Cale Yarborough for fifth on the career wins list with 83.

Gee, wonder what changed his luck? =)

The NASCAR folks will be back in November for the second PIR race. In case you didn’t save the phone number Jeff, you can find us at www.firstfoodbank.org.
